Málaga 2024 Cavalcade: These will be the representatives of the Three Kings.

Malaga is getting ready for the 2024 Three Kings Parade, the finishing touch to Christmas. The City Council has already announced the names of the three people who will represent the Three Wise Men during the procession that will travel through the streets of the capital on the afternoon of 5th January.

Those chosen to embody Their Majesties of the East and distribute thousands of sweets (and illusion) among the little ones are the Malaga journalist Jorge Luque, who accompanies Ana Rosa Quintana on the Telecinco programme TardeAr, who will embody King Melchior representing the media; Rafael López Taza, elder brother of the Brotherhood of the Holy Supper, who will play King Gaspar, proposed by the Association of Brotherhoods; and Avelino Barrionuevo, councillor of the government team of the ‘popular’ municipal group, who will play King Balthazar, representing the Corporation.

The Three Wise Men will depart in a parade from Malaga Town Hall on 5th January, after being received in the Town Hall by the members of the Corporation, as explained by the Consistory in a communiqué.

Immediately afterwards, the Three Wise Men will wave from the balcony of the Casona del Parque before boarding their floats to begin the procession, the Consistory said.
