Marbella hosts the 11th ‘Marea Rosa’ Solidarity Race, which attracted more than 3,000 people

The main objective of fundraising and visibility responds to the fight for the prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer.

The Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) of Marbella has gathered this morning about 3,000 people in the XI Solidarity Race ‘Marea Rosa’. The charity event was priced at 10 euros per person and started at 11:15 am in the Avenida del Mar with a functional training session given by ‘ClanFit’ after which the walk along the Paseo Marítimo of the city began until reaching the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos Adolfo Suárez of the town where there was a festive end to the event.

“It is a great satisfaction that the citizens are once again showing their support for an organisation that has been helping users and their families for more than 35 years”, said the Mayoress, Ángeles Muñoz, who added that “this initiative highlights the importance of sport and the need to maintain a positive attitude when facing the disease”.

The people of Marbella have given their support to the association on this day of socialising, which has included children’s games and face painting, among other activities. The main objective of the fundraising and the visibility of the pink t-shirts is to fight for the prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer.
