The American basketball legend has chosen the town of Malaga as a holiday destination and La Milla, Luismi Menor and César Morales’s chiringuito gastro, has been one of his stops.

The streets and beaches of Marbella have for decades been witness to the visits of celebrities from all corners of the world in search of a distinguished gastronomy and unbeatable weather. These days a tourist has been strolling through the town of Malaga who has found it hard to go unnoticed: the basketball player Michael Jordan. He has done so in the company of his wife, the model Yvette Prieto. Together they had a beach festival this Tuesday at one of the unmissable stops on the Costa del Sol, La Milla de Marbella.

Located on Nagüelles beach, in the heat of other names that make up ‘The Golden Mile’ of the town, it is part of the list of restaurants recommended by the Michelin Spain & Portugal 2023 guide.

At La Milla there is no mistake and Jordan knew what he was going for. The menu is headed by a tasting of shells that take you straight to the sea, which is just a few steps from the restaurant. Luis Miguel Menor, executive chef and co-owner, boasts a showcase of his close relationship with the fish market, and he can. Hence the sardines, red mullet and other fish that are grilled.
