What’s the talk on the red carpet at Malaga Film Festival 2024?

The Malaga Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Malaga, Spain. It screens the most relevant premieres of the year in Spanish cinema, including documentaries and short films. It also awards prizes to the best films of the year as well as honorary awards. The main award is the Golden Biznaga for Best Film. Other award winners, such as the Critics’ Prize or Best Director, receive Silver Biznagas. The festival also hosts round tables and colloquiums on current issues in Spanish cinema.

The first festival was held from 9 to 17 March 1998. The guest of honour was Fernando Fernán Gómez, and the retrospective was dedicated to Montxo Armendáriz. Although the festival was originally held without a fixed date, between March and June, since 2008 it has been held in April.

The 27th edition of the Malaga Festival began last Friday with a glamour bath on the red carpet of the Cervantes Theatre. The stars and famous faces of the Spanish audiovisual world paraded down the red carpet for the opening screening of the animated blockbuster Dragonkeeper, directed by Salvador Simó.

Actors and actresses such as Macarena Gómez (30 monedas, Sagrada familia), Godeliv Van den Brandt (Sky Rojo, Élite) or Raúl Tejón (Machos alfa) have passed through the microphone of CINEMANÍA, where they have told us what was the first film they remember seeing in the cinema or what they like most about their work in front of the cameras.
